52 Weeks of 2014 - Week 31

It took me all day, but I'm finally caught up. A few weeks ago, we got a new cover for our couch, and I've been wanting to take Cookie's photo on it because it's actually not white like the rest of our furniture. The fact that Lauren had put her zebra blanket on the couch was a lucky coincidence.



And as usual when I take her portrait, I bored Cookie to sleep!

13 Days of Halloween - Day 11

 

It's Cookie's first Halloween! Having a small dogs means having a huge selection of costumes from which to choose, but from the start, I knew that I wanted her to be Count Cookie.

You don't even want to know what kind of trick this dog will lay at your doorstep if you don't give her a treat.  Believe me - I've cleaned it up. A lot.

Look who turned one today! I feel bad (That's a continuous theme here, isn't it?) that I didn't finish the 52 weeks Cookie project. I just got too far behind, and plus I spend too much time in front of the computer editing photos as it is (And that's in addition to hours I spend during the day in front a computer doing work for my real job). However, rest assured there will still be plenty of Cookie's adventures documented here in the years to come. Cookie made out like a bandit on her birthday, and received three new toys. Her human family enjoyed some cake in her honor.

We're moving on up! Check out my plush new bed. My New Ma keeps calling it my "Princess and the Pea" bed. She keeps putting pieces of kibble under it. How can I not notice that?

Actually, I have another installment to post later in the week, plus photos of our annual trip to Girl Scout camp which occurred this past weekend. Finally the blog is seeing some action again!

 Sometimes I don't understand humans. They always want something! Sit! Stay! Heel! Come! Don't they know that obeying all those commands is a lot of hard work? And all I get in return is a little biscuit. Well, that may have worked when I was a little pup, but I'm not gonna take it anymore.

Finally I get to really show my stuff!



Usually I have to stand outside the fence and watch Little Girl and her friends having fun playing the game where you run and kick the ball, but since no one is around this time, the Big Guy turned me loose on the field.



He tried to race me, but I was so fast, I beat him even when he had a head start!

52 Weeks of Cookie - Week 20

Did I ever tell you about my good friend, The Other Chubby White Puppy? We have so much fun together! I just love to chase her around the house! Sometimes when we are playing, she does this thing where she rolls on her back with her feet flailing in the air. When she does that, I like to jump over her! And sometimes, she makes this really funny sound when she opens her mouth and let's all the air out. I've never heard another puppy make that sound before. It sure is neato. And see how she's giving me a high five in this photo? Yeah, me and The Other Chubby Puppy sure are tight.

There's nothing better than watching some sports with The Big Guy! The canine drama of athletic competition! The thrill of victory! The agony of defeat! Although I have to admit that sometimes it would be nice to spend some time together painting my toenails pink.

I just can't get enough of my food! It's so crunchy and yummy and good! The Big Guy has been feeding me a lot because My New Ma says that I'm too bony. I think My New Ma is just comparing me to The Other White Chubby Puppy that lives with us. It's all good though - it just means more food for me. Yay!

Coconut and Cookie love to play with each other, so we think that either Cookie thinks Coconut is a puppy or that Coconut thinks that Cookie is a cat!

52 Weeks of Cookie: Week 17

 

This week, I got a spiffy new harness decorated with pretty colorful flowers! I was so excited to show it off to the whole neighborhood. The Little Girl is always running around there with her friends. They look like they're having so much fun! I wish I could go too, but My New Mom says I'm too little. Will I ever be big?

Sometimes, my people leave the room. I don't like that AT ALL, no sir! So I watch. And I wait. I don't know where they go. I mean, who would want to leave me and the comfy couch. Sometimes people just don't make sense to me.

Everyone has something that they're good at. My something is that I can run super duper fast! Up to 35 mph, even! But after running around, I get super duper sleepy, which I'm really good at too. So I guess I'm luckier than most because I have two things that I'm good at!

Today is my 6 month birthday - yay! 



It can't be a coincidence that today is also the first day of spring because there's always a spring in my step!

 

My first six months have been swell, especially the time I've spent with my new family - The Big Guy, My New Ma, The Little Girl and Big Brother.



I am one lucky dog!

52 Weeks of Cookie: Week 13

 

So I'm all better now - yay! Today, the weather was nice so my New Ma dressed me in my fancy sweater and took me outside. I like my sweater a lot, but I only wish it was pink because the blue makes everyone think I'm a boy!

52 Weeks of Cookie - Week 12

This week I finally got my special operation. It was a little scary for me because I had to spend the day away from my family. One good thing was that I slept most of the time. I'm not sure how it got there, but when I woke up, I had a boo boo on my tummy. I was so happy when The Big Guy finally came and picked me up! But when we got home, all I wanted to do was sleep again. I'm feeling better now, and the best part is that everyone wants to snuggle with me on the couch. That's my favorite thing in the whole wide world!

52 Weeks of Cookie - Week 10

My New Ma and The Big Guy have been talking a lot lately about how I need something called an "operation." I'm not sure what that is, but I don't like the sound of it - not one bit! I am very fast, so I don't think they could catch me and do this operation thing on me. But since that's what they would expect me to do, I'm just going to hide under here instead! That will trick them real good!
