Traditionally, each year I do a group shot of all the gifts arranged real nice, but this year, I didn't really coordinate the wrapping paper like I usually do. So I thought I'd go minimalist instead.

52 Weeks of Cookie - Week 2

It's been two weeks since I joined my new family, and things are working out great. My new Ma is real nice. The Little Girl is a bit of a messy eater, so there's always tasty crumbs for me to sample.

 

But the one I love the best is The Big Guy. He gives me my food and carries me around the house. Ma says that with all this attention, is I'm going to get small dog syndrome, but I'm not sure how I could catch that because there are no small dogs around here.

25 Days of Christmas - Day 21

This isn't what I had planned for today, but since I'm quite tired, I went with this because it was much simpler to shoot than my other idea. Lauren has really been into cutting paper snowflakes. Originally she started with letter sized ones, but then I showed her how to make round ones using a compass. Yesterday, while Lauren and I were at school and work respectfully, and then Girl Scouts last night, Mark was left to his own devices and surprised us by hanging all our snowflakes on the wall. I'm especially proud of my white one with the snowman shapes.



On top of everything else I've got going on, I knitted scarves to give as Christmas presents. I've always wanted to do that!

Excited for the weekend - if all goes to plan, I've got plans for lots of shooting. We finally have some snow, and while my gifts are all wrapped, I have still have cookies to bake. And speaking of Cookie, lets not forget our weekly update!

25 Days of Christmas - Day 20

This is it...the last of the stockpile. For the last five days, we'll be the flying by the seat of our pants! Up the creek without a paddle! Going commando! Oh, wait a minute...

25 Days of Christmas - Day 19

Coconut:  Me and Santa? Yeah, we're tight.



Coconut: Since we're fist challenged, we can't do fist bumps, so we do nose bumps instead.



Coconut: Um, excuse me?

 

Coconut: I wouldn't do that if I were you.

 

Coconut: Someone just bought a one way ticket to the naughty list.



Coconut:  That's okay though. At least I know I'm sitting pretty.



Coconut: I'll just hang out here and wait for the presents to start rolling in.



Coconut:  What the...? You know, Ma's pretty fond of her peppermint tree skirt. And how will Santa know where to put all my presents if there is no tree skirt because you ate it? You have a lot to learn about Christmas, kid.

You know that you're serious about your Christmas photography when you invest in a Santa suit. More fun to come...

On a related note, I'm exhausted. How is it that Santa works one night a year to make Christmas happen but I have to work two months?
