Today Lauren turned seven. Her birthday party isn't until this Sunday, so we had planned just to spend the evening at home. The birthday girl requested pancakes and eggs for dinner, so Mark and I fashioned a birthday cake out of a stack of flapjacks.
As you can see, she was pretty darn impressed.
Here comes the wish...

Now she's patiently waiting for presents to arrive. She's holding the cool glittery baton that was a present from her teacher.
Time to dig in!
She was pretty excited to get a stuffed version of one of her favorite video game characters.
Then it was time to open the big present from Cousins Nick and Noreen!
