The Boardwalk - Arcades.

Jilly's Arcade.

Long live Jilly's Arcade. It's an institution. When I was a kid visiting the shore, the video game craze was at its height. I have distinct memories of playing Pac-man, Donkey Kong, and Galaga at Jilly's. Oh, and that Space Invaders pinball machine. Everyone wanted to play that. And don't forget Skeeball. Lots and lots of Skeeball...

Lucky for us, they still have 10 cent skeeball, as we just so happened to get trapped there when a torrential downpour hit the boardwalk. Lauren throws a skeeball like she's pitching a fastball during a softball game. It's fun to watch as long as you're not in the way when she lets loose with a wild throw.

Air hockey champ.

Lauren's second love of the shore was air hockey. Mark complained that we spent so much on air hockey that we could have bought our own table.

Pinball machines.

Although Space Invaders was no where to be found, Jilly's still has a line up of several cool pinball machines.

Lord of the Rings pinball machine.

My favorite was this Lord of the Rings machine. I wonder if a Harry Potter one exists?

Mark playing a Playboy pinball machine.

Mark, on the other hand, enjoyed this Playboy machine.
